This program consists of delivering clothes and personal items to immigrants who are currently vulnerable and arrived in Florida, many of them with only the clothes they are wearing, and additionally, they do not have personal hygiene and grooming products.
We are here to be the bridge, the person who receives your help will never forget it. Also, please remember that all donated products will be received with the greatest appreciation and with a smile of thanks that will change lives.
As a non-profit foundation, we will issue a certificate valuing your donation so that you can deduct it from your tax return.
As a token of our appreciation for your contribution, we will be giving you a beautiful gold-plated jewel that will bring abundance to your home.
Those of us who have immigrated to this country know how difficult it is to take off, from the fact of finding a place to sleep, to eat, and to find a place to work. Today, those of us who have been in the United States for some time always remember with pleasure that relative, that friend, and often that stranger who without asking for recommendations, offered that help to lift ourselves and our families in this country.
But the harsh reality is that they are here going through very difficult times to achieve "the American dream." It is not a perception, it is a reality that we feel in our community and we must help them find the path to be independent on their own. Our program was developed by imagining for a moment one of them, newly arrived, with dreams, debts, without family and without anything to shelter them.
Have you already imagined that moment? What would you like to give them as help? I imagine articles that would help them take off in the United States and thus mitigate the need they are going through.
When imagining yourself as one of them, newly arrived, would you like to receive things that are useless and in poor condition? I imagine you wouldn't, you would prefer to be given a pair of jeans, or some shoes or sneakers, rather than 20 shirts that won't do much for you. Remember, when giving a donation, it should be dignified, not an item that doesn't fulfill the needs of the needy. For example, if you needed blood, would you accept contaminated blood with HIV or other diseases? Of course not, you need the blood to live, not to die. When making a donation, whether to us or other institutions, think about the blood you're going to donate and who will receive it.
